Dr. Rikesh T. Parikh, M.D. is a Double Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Aesthetic Facial Body Plastic Surgery of Seattle | Bellevue. He focuses primarily on cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Both of these Boards are recognized by the Gold Standard American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). In summary Dr. Parikh is highly skilled, his medical education consists of nine years of postgraduate training at major medical institutions around the country. He initially completed a five-year General Surgery residency at the State University of New York. This residency was followed by three years of specialized residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He also completed a one-year research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio prior to residency training.

Dr. Parikh attended medical school at Kasturba Medical College in India where he graduated with distinction. 

After medical school, Dr. Parikh completed a one-year research fellowship in Surgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. During this time, he published multiple articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals.

Upon completion of his research fellowship, Dr. Parikh was accepted at the State University of New York in Buffalo for General Surgery Residency training. Throughout his residency, he received multiple awards and accolades. Some of these include: the Theodore C. Jewitt M.D. Goldstar Resident of the Year, the Worthington B. Shenck Teacher of the Year Award, and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism and Excellence. Dr. Parikh was also the first resident in the history of the Department of Surgery nominated for the American College of Surgeons Resident Exemplary Teaching Award. In addition to this, he consistently scored in the >90th percentile on the in-service examination (ABSITE). Due to his overall performance, he was chosen from ten Chief Residents to serve as the Administrative Chief Resident in his final year. He eventually was inducted into the Gold Honor Society and graduated as Best Overall Resident. Dr. Parikh is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons.

After General Surgery residency, he was selected for further training at Vanderbilt University. The Vanderbilt Training Program is one of the premier independent Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training programs in the country - known for its extremely high volume of cases and patient complexity. During this three-year residency, Dr. Parikh trained with nationally and internationally known faculty focusing on the latest techniques in cosmetic as well as complex reconstructive procedures. Some highlights of his training include: Shalom Foundation mission pediatric plastic surgery in Guatemala, quality improvement in free flap monitoring for plastic surgery patients, and being the resident representative for plastic surgery in the Hospital Staff Advisory Committee. Dr. Parikh also served as Chief Resident in his final year of training and graduated with Distinction in Leadership Training from Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Parikh was the fourth and final doctor I consulted for the replacement of my 30 year old saline implants. I chose Dr. Parikh for not only his expertise but for his insight into what would be the best procedure for my particular case. In the end I chose to have an implant replacement with a breast lift. I really couldn't be happier with the outcome - and am honestly surprised that my breasts could look so good again! Dr. Parikh and his wonderful staff are very attentive and will take their time and answer all your questions and address any concerns. Nothing but thumbs up!

My experience with Dr. Parikh and his entire staff was nothing short of amazing! From the first moment I met with him I realized that I was in the care of a professional who took great pride in his work and took into account all aspects of my personal well-being in assisting me to reach my personal goals. I have done a lot of research and have spent a lot of time deciding what type of procedures I wanted to have done before I chose Dr. Parikh. I have wanted to "freshen up" my face and not look so tired all the time. From the moment I booked my appointment with michelle, came in for my consult and ultimately my appointment for fillers and botox, I was blown away by the whole experience. Michelle was super friendly and helpfull and Dr. Parikh was awsome. Down to earth, really patient and answered all my questions. He took me step by step through what was happening and made me comfortable the whole time. The results, AMAZING! This guy knows what he is doing! I highly recommend at least making the time to go in for a consult if you are at all considering any type of enhancements. I will definitely be returning to their office and telling all my friends. Dr. Rikesh is absolutely amazing! He has an amazing personality and is very kind! I felt very comfortable with him and sharing my issues with him. If I needed to talk to him, he would bend over backwards to talk to me and answer all the questions and concerns I had. I was privileged to have had Dr. Rikesh as my surgeon. This was my first procedure done by Dr. Parikh and he is just amazing. From start to finish he showed that he care, not only about how I wanted to look, but in helping understand what needed to happen to get there. Both he and the staff showed compassion during the 4hr operation (I was not sedated), constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain.

Dr. Parikh and his entire team are consummate professionals. They guided me through the whole process with such amazing ease. During the original consultation they thoroughly prepared me for my procedure. I researched online brachioplasty and was concerned greatly about the scarring. Wondering whether it would be worth the heavy arms that my mother so generously passed on to me verses having the scars. Dr Pareeks attention to detail was amazing. He was constantly checking in with me every day for the first week after the surgery. After only four weeks my scars can hardly be seen. I highly recommend dr Pareek and The wonderful staff at the Aesthetic Facisl Body pals tic Surgery clinic.

Dr. Parikh did a miraculous job on repairing a large gash in my forehead. I was a trauma patient taken to the OR and they wouldn't let me see my forehead, because the cut was so bad. Dr. Parikh was on call at the hospital on the night of the accident and I was lucky enough to have been paired with him. From the second he walked in I felt instantly comfortable with him and his medical advice. I have been under the knife several times with some very well known plastic surgeons and I would recommend Dr. Parikh over any of them. I wouldn't hesitate to have ANY procedure done with him in the future. I would recommend this surgeon to anyone looking for a good result.

I am overall very happy with my procedures with Dr. Young. I had an asian eye blepharoplasty for around 5000 dollars and a chin reduction also for around 5000 dollars. Dr Young and his staff were very respectful of me as a trans woman which I greatly appreciate. As for the quality of his work I am very satisfied with my results and have an enhanced sense of self confidence after getting the work done. I would highly recommend him to any trans patient.

Dr. Young was the first plastic surgeon to operate on me and the only plastic surgeon to feel an in person consultation was the best route to go. Other just asked for pictures and wrote up a bid, as if they were bidding on a home remodel.
He met with me, worked with my schedule and explained the process in it's entirety. Afterwards, he was only a phone call away! He monitored my health via photos, text and consulted with my PCP in addition to the normal follow-up appoints.
Defiantly someone I trust to work on my in the future, as well as work on my friends and family.

I would highly recommend Dr. Philip Young and his team. He takes unusual care to get you exactly the results you are looking for. He is also completely accessible 24/7 for any questions or concerns you may have, both before or anytime after surgery. His staff are very professional and always respond quickly to any emails or calls. Check his credentials on the Washington State Department of Health and see that he is "PENDING" an enforcement action due to many complaints and serious damages. Philip Young is the most horrible, unprofessional, poorly skilled surgeon I have ever known, and he is the biggest liar I have ever met. Doing my ear surgery (Otoplasty) with him was the biggest mistake of my life, and the stupidest decision I have ever taken. I wish I could pay all the money I have to fix what he did to me, but unfortunately, he damaged my ear to a point where my options now are very limited.

I consulted this surgeon for a very simple case Otoplasty that I thought my case was very basic that any surgeon could do it. I was TOTALLY wrong. Even though he kept telling me that he was very experienced with it, wrote a book about it, and had no doubts that he was going to do an "Excellent job", and Even though I told him many times during the consultation, pre-op, and the operation day that my case only needed a stitch technique, and that I didn’t want any skin or cartilage removed under any circumstances, he still did it anyway, and ended up removing a lot of cartilage and skin causing a severe setback in my ear. As that was not enough, he literally stitched parts of my ear to my head in a way that no one can possibly imagine.

Two weeks later, I developed an infection in the areas where he stitched my ear to my head. Philip Young did not seem to realize this fact even though I followed up with him many times after the procedure. He actually barely looked at my ear during these follow ups and kept telling me that it was normal and needed more time to heal. Luckily, I was so worried about it that I consulted an ENT specialist who could not believe his eyes seeing how my ear is stitched to my head, and noticed the infection right away and told me that I needed another surgery as soon as possible to treat the infection and its cause (I have documents proving that). Otherwise, the infection would have increased and ended up destroying what is left of my ear.

Now, I am desperately looking for surgeons who can fix these damages, but the options I have are very limited, and all the surgeries that I can possibly do are much much more complicated than the original surgery, and will not give me what I have lost.

I was a very social, outgoing individual. This surgery destroyed my life. I don't go out as often now, my social life is completely ruined, and I don't leave my house without a hat on.

You guys can learn from this and not suffer the way I am suffering now. If you have any doubts about this review, or you think that I am exaggerating, then take your time and read all other reviews about him on this website and other websites such as (Yelp, ratemds, ripoffreport, complaintsboard and so on..). Also check his credentials on the Washington State Department of Health and see that he is "PENDING" an enforcement action and has many very scary complaints. My advice to all of you is that DON'T even think it to do anything with him even if he was the last surgeon on Earth, and RUN AWAY as fast as you can if you come close to his office.

We regret that you did not find the results of your procedure to be up to par. Up to a recent review in April of 2015, our infection rate is as low as 0.63%. This is well below the national average. We are currently working with the Washington State Department of Health to improve our practice. HI GUYS, I just had fat transfer done on my under eyes and cheeks with Dr. Young about a month ago, and I LOVE my results.
I'm 25 years old and I had deep and dark hallows under my eyes that made me look tired all the time. So while everyone told me that I was too young to get anything done and that it's not safe to do fat transfer, I believed in Dr. Young and his talent after I saw him and all his patient's beautiful before and after photos .
Dr. Young and his staff are super sweet, friendly, and honest. At my consultation Dr. Young told me that it would look more natural for me to add a small amount of volume to my cheeks as well, and I'm so glad I listened to him. He also told me that the fat transfer will help with the skin tone but will not make the darkness go away completely. Now with more volume on my cheeks and under eyes I see my face look more round than square, more feminine, and healthier looking. And this is all I wanted in first place. the only thing is that my skin is still little dark around my eyes, the fat transfer helped %100 with the hollows, and helped some with the skin darkness, just like Dr. Young said. I would totally do this all over again, this was a life changing experience THANK YOU DR. YOUNG. I can't stop taking selfies :):):)

Great experience. I had some deep scars from acne but now after a scar surgery, my over all skin texture is more smooth. I made a right choice.

Dr. Philip Young broke a bone in my jaw by screwing in jaw implants and breaking the jaw bone. This bone sat floating around under my skin for 7 months. I could not work, I could not leave my home as the blood needed to be drained every 3 hours. After 8 months of trying to find the cause of the infection, I pushed the jaw bone through my own flesh and the infection stopped. I have permanent scaring and can only move my neck 70% of what I used to be able to. Dr. Young tightened my platysma (neck) muscle too tight which is called a "Neck Lift". I am 34 years old and he gave me a neck lift. This was a poor diagnosis as I have been to 3 other doctors who call his work very unprofessional. The only thing he says is that he finished in the top 5% in his class. This is the only statement he can stand on. Stay far away from his clinic.
